Q. Describe yourself in three words?
A. Funny, rational and thoughtful.
Q. What’s your biggest CV achievement to date?
A. My first job at House of Fraser, it’s what kicked it all off…
Q. What is the best thing about your role at The Mortgage Lender?
A. Working with old colleagues from Mortgages PLC.
Q. If you could change one thing in the industry, what would it be and why?
A. The duplication of paperwork – sometimes it can be a bit much for brokers and lenders.
Q. Who’s the person that’s had the greatest influence on your career, and why?
A. My good friend Dave Toulson at NatWest, he is the one who introduced me to the marketplace by getting me a job at RBS.
Q. What do you think is The Mortgage Lender’s greatest strength(s)?
A. That we offer certainty, the new branding and the team.
Q. What five items couldn’t you live without?
A. My iPhone, Oliver Sweeney shoes, my Amazon firestick, a big TV and my bed…
Q. What’s is the most important attribute of a BDM?
A. Being hungry for it.
Q. If you won £10 million tomorrow, what would you do with it?
A. Treat friends and family to a massive party. And then cars, cars and even more cars.
Q. What’s your guilty pleasure?
Q. Is there a sector of the mortgage market that you think is really untapped?
A. Zero-hour contracts for professionals.
