The Mortgage Lender has boosted its relationship with packagers with exclusive deals and the appointment of its first onsite underwriter based at TFC Homeloans and 3mc
Jemma Pugh’s appointment as a roving underwriter marks a step change in the packager support provided by The Mortgage Lender and allows brokers to discuss their cases with an onsite decision maker.
The Mortgage Lender deputy chief executive Peter Beaumont said: “With a relaunched residential range that includes exclusive deals only available through selected partners, and buy to let products, putting an experienced underwriter onsite who can discuss and make a decision on a case is the logical next step. I’m delighted to welcome Jemma to the team and I know she’ll do a fantastic job for TFC Homeloans and 3mc.”
3mc director Doug Hall said: “At 3mc we make it easier for brokers to place their difficult cases by giving them access to underwriters, exclusive products and expertise. We have a wealth of experience in this part of the market and can work with brokers to ensure they provide the most appropriate solution to their clients.
“These exclusives, which include 90 per cent LTV and a two-year fix that starts at 3.99 per cent, demonstrate lending is available at competitive rates and to clients with small deposits.”
Jemma Pugh left M&S Bank to take up the roving underwriter position and her previous roles include senior underwriter at Mortgages Plc. She approached The Mortgage Lender about a role after noting its expansion and new brand.
Jemma Pugh said: “I wanted to get back into packagers. This role empowers me to help brokers and their customers by being onsite and able to make decisions about cases there and then.
“I also love the brand, it has a real energy to it, shows what we as a team believe in and it’s what packagers want. Everyone needs a home and we’re here to help people achieve their dream.”
TML will lend up to 90 per cent LTV for residential mortgages through selected partners including TFC Homeloans and 3mc.
